Her vision of a jewel toned palette with gold accents would compliment the space perfectly. We added Lisa’s family heirlooms for personal details to reminded guest what this day was all about - Family, Love and Memories. A vintage type writer was proudly incorporated as the centerpiece on a favor table displaying a typed letter from the couple to the family in a 1946 type font.
The couple also had a seriously impressive favor table that displayed guest escort cards. We featured heart shaped cookies stamped in a vintage type writer fonts “Lisa + Jason” from Simply Cakes.
After searching in New York City for the perfect dress Lisa found herself with an appointment here at Alexia’s Bridal, located in downtown Raleigh. The wedding dress find was just what she had envisioned with some minor personal adjustments. It was a fit-and-flare style, with the added key hole lace back that she just loved from another gown. She decided to pair the dress with a simple half-up hairstyle with simple accessories, not to take away from the details from the dress.

We were so happy to help this couple put together the jewel toned - industrial wedding of their dreams, the photographers at Six foot photography captured every detail beautifully!
Century old brick and wood, along with panoramic windows and a wrap around balcony make Bay 7 an unforgettable space. This industrial reclaimed jewel, is located within the American Tobacco Campus formally known as the home of the Lucky Strike cigarette factory.
After Jason proposed to his sweetheart Lisa, the couple knew they wanted to recreate the magic and romance of that special day with an industrial wedding.Lisa and Jason immediately fell in love with the Industrial venue at Bay 7 in Durham, NC. The couple’s main goal was to create an intimate and romantic vibe, which we accomplished by using a jewel toned color palette of ruby, opal, emerald, sapphire and gold with gardeny floral arrangements accented by Expressions of Love Florist. The rich colors were a eye-catching complement to the floor-to-ceiling brick and exposed beams of the venue.
Vintage Church is a beautiful church in the middle of Downtown Raleigh. Because of the location, we had the opportunity for some amazing bridal party and couple’s photos before and after the ceremony. The aisle provided a long dramatic walk for Caskey to head to her glowing groom.
When guests arrived to the reception, they headed into Babylon’s Hanging Gardens, which was tented with chandeliers and lush floating florals in the pool. It was a gorgeous Raleigh evening and guests dined and toasted downstairs under the tent. When dinner concluded, guests headed upstairs for a live band and dancing!
Custom pieces made this wedding all the more special. Not only did the couple design their wedding bands together, but they had an arbor built for their ceremony at Vintage Church as well. The couple’s plan for the arbor when the wedding was complete was to put it in the backyard of their home as a memento from the amazing day. A designer from Caskey’s hometown of Seattle, Washington, Luly Yang, created Caskey’s amazing wedding gown. One of the special details that Caskey had to include was a bow on the back of the gown, resembling the one that her mother wore.

When the couple headed off for their sparkler exit, they were truly glowing. It was a pleasure working with Caskey and Mike!
Melrose Knitting Mill, a historic building in Downtown Raleigh, is the perfect backdrop for a romantic evening. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon during dinner and the elegant sparkle of thirteen crystal chandeliers throughout the venue left their guests breathless all night long.
Caskey and Mike were a dream couple to work with; details and personal touches were so important to them to create special memories for the day. The wedding could more or less be considered a destination wedding, with most of the guest list hailing from Washington state and New York. Because guests traveled from so far for the occasion, we wanted to give them an event with twists and surprises design-wise at every turn.
